Stacking the Shelves: No. 5

I think Book Outlet is my new best friend now. Besides the Strand, that is. On top of me finally going on vacation on Friday, I come home to a beautiful box of books from Book Outlet, so of course I’m going to squee about them here! Not that I’ll be reading these anytime soon, but THAT IS NOT THE POINT OF MY BOOK HOARDING. I mean…collecting. Yep. I totally collect books in a healthy manner.

Stacking the Shelves

We are all book lovers and the need to share our enthusiasm is sometimes overwhelming. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it and Stacking The Shelves is a good way to express your undying enthusiasm for those titles!

So I finally got myself a copy of The Desert Spear by Peter V. Brett, which is the second book of his Demon Cycle series. This and City of a Thousand Dolls by Miriam Forster were awesome deals at The Strand, so I couldn’t resist getting them.

I also have a gift card from my little voldie parents, so obviously I’m frittering most of those away with books. As I said, Book Outlet is helping me spend this money, as their deals are UH-MAZING. I hadn’t even taken advantage of their coupons yet. Maybe next time, when I find more books I want to get from them.

Acquisitions

The Desert Spear by Peter V. Brett

City of a Thousand Dolls by Miriam Forster

Siege and Storm (Grisha #2) by Leigh Bardugo – A must-have after I enjoyed the first book so much!

Carniepunk – An urban fantasy anthology about circuses and the creepy things happening there.

Dangerous Women edited by George R. R. Martin and Gardner R. Dozois – This tome–yes, it’s a frelling TOME–is massive. I believe it contains all of the short stories found in Dangerous Women volumes 1, 2, and 3. At over 700 pages, this book is going to take me a while.
