First off: HAPPY TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK! Now give me presents. (No, seriously, thank a teacher near you, they’re amazing people, and now that I’m on the same boat, I have gained more respect for what they do every day).
That said, onto the TTT!
I think for this one I’m going to refer to a “Best Books” lists, because there are a ton of books that I’ll probably never read, considering there are too many books I’ve got on my TBR to begin with.
Ten Books I Will Probably Never Read
Anything by Nicholas Sparks – Disclaimer: I’m not against romance novels. I’ll read one or two when the mood sets in. Just not ones written by this author. That’s all.
Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James – No thanks.
Moby Dick by Herman Melville – I’d rather not have to go through detailed descriptions about whales, so I’ll settle for summaries.
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo – Eh. I think the musical did enough to satiate my curiosity over this story.
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare – I’m in the minority for this, probably, but I’m not really interested in this series for some reason. I mean, I still have Clare’s Infernal Devices series on my TBR, so there’s that?
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson – Really just can’t get into this series.
Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer – I liked the first three Twilight books well enough before it got overhyped. Not interested in the last book, especially after having read summaries of it.
Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke – One of the books that’s super-low on my priority list. I just sold my copy, too, so it’s just going to stay unread at this point.
The Selection series by Kiera Cass – These books remind me of Matched and Wither, and I’m not keen on picking up another book that boils down to who’s in love with whom, ignoring all the rest of the interesting plots that could be had.
Inferno by Robert Langdon – I’m kind of over the whole Dan Brown hype. Sorry.
