Stacking the Shelves: No. 3

I’m slowly making an inventory list of books I plan to sell/donate, and all because I decided I wanted a few more books to add to my already-full shelves. Well, technically, they’re not as full as all that now, since I’d recently just donated books to my school library and co-worker. ANYWAY. I strolled the book store the other day, just because this is clearly as therapeutic as baking for me. Plus, walking around The Strand is like my Friday cardio (good idea). Lo and behold, I found things to buy (bad idea).

Stacking the Shelves

We are all book lovers and the need to share our enthusiasm is sometimes overwhelming. Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

If you’re anything like me, you are probably hoarding books and even though you are excited about your latest book arrival, it might be a while before you get to review it and Stacking The Shelves is a good way to express your undying enthusiasm for those titles!

Hard Copy Acquisitions

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman (Bargain buy! Found this hardcover for six bucks and it was just so pretty I had to get it for myself.)

Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs (Signed edition of my favorite Mercy Thompson book! Clearly worth having in my collection, even though I only have two other paperbacks of the series, lol.)

Pocket Prague and Pocket Berlin (I am excited about going on vacay to Berlin and Prague and I love getting the little pocket travel guides for when I go abroad.)

I might have also gotten carried away with a Storybundle purchase of comics.

And more eARCs:

Emperor Wu Zhao and Her Pantheon of Devis, Divinities, and Dynastic Mothers by Norman H. Rothschild

Abomination by Gary Whitta

Uprooted by Naomi Novik

Spelled by Betsy Schow

Jade Dragon Mountain by Elsa Hart

The Woman in the Movie Star Dress by Praveen Asthana

The Undying Legion: Crown & Key by Clay Griffith, Susan Griffith

On the bright side, I’ve at least read a few of my acquisitions already. A small fraction of, but erm…who’s really keeping track?!

    • I think this is what compelled me to buy the stack, actually. (Well, mostly because I saw Mercy Thompson, Dresden Files, and Game of Thrones, but having the rest of the collection doesn’t hurt XD)
